Correct. Pointing out someone's habit of going for the ad hominem, is not an ad hominem.

THANK YOU for being an adult and stating that I am not using ad hominem statements and am just characterizing, THERE is hope for YOU yet!

Bullshit, Wale. I said that using ad hominem is your favorite thing. Like this one...
Have a nice afternoon, Wale.
TRANSLATION " I haven't the substance to deal with real information AND REALITY SO I will take my ball and go home"- bogus As with most, if not all of your "translations," Wale, the one above is nothing more than an ad hominem.

Not at all, except maybe only in your mind.

At this point, Wale, since it has become all to apparent that the "translation" I posted today has very much a ring of truth to it. And considering that continuing to go around in circles with you in these threads is going to break Bear's rule #1. I shall exit this pointless exercise with you.
Do not make the mistake my action means that you have "won" anything or that your opinions, suppositions, imperious pronouncements, etc. are in any way, shape, or form correct, factual or true.

Back to the topic, I am more a fan of the anti-federalist papers and Samuel Adams.

Back to the topic, I am more a fan of the anti-federalist papers and Samuel Adams. I have also read the anti-fed papers. You could start a thread about them...

Since I have more time on my hands that is a good idea. Information on the founding fathers parents and their role is hard to find what I have found it made them who they were. I mentioned Samuel Adams as in most readings it has his father as little influence other than a strict preacher but he actually was a huge influence. I would think that true for most the founding fathers.

I can respond. The Constitution also made clear the LIMITATIONS ( many of them ) of the Federal government. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.-10th Amendment
wl:I can respond. TubaIndeed. But ya' gotta stay away from the "H" topic, Sparky. It's forbidden by our den-mother. Beware. wl:The Constitution also made clear the LIMITATIONS ( many of them ) of the Federal government. "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.-10th Amendment"
Tuba:There is no permission in the Tenth Amendment for the states to ignore the rest of the Constitution when they choose. The amendment is clear about how far the states can go: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it ["it" being the Constitution itself] to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." Therefore, as much as the "states-rights" crowd thinks the Tenth Amendment is the holy-grail by which American states can overrule the Federal government when they feel like it, is stretching the meaning of the amendment to suit parochial interests. It's the same crowd that thinks the Tenth Amendment gives broad permission to the states to codify invidious laws inspired by local prejudices, religious superstitions and petty priggishness that limit the birthrights of American citizenship. Neither the Federalist Papers nor the Constitution (or the Tenth for that matter) propose a weak Federal government. Just the opposite. Oh, you mean like sanctuary cities and gun bans?

That started in 2008 with Obama being Kenyan born, a Muslim and supporting terrorism, the right lost their minds then!

Millions of dems/liberals do and have owned weapons, including me, I'm an excellent shot, I have a serious ability for eye/hand coordination and enjoyed shooting, so your question was absurd. It is not a matter of owning weapons or 1st amendment rights.

The Federalist was actually written mostly by two "Founders". Not sure that's generally known.

I learned that way back in the sixth grade when they taught civics in every public school in the USA.
