I should dearly love that the world should be ever so little better for my presence. Even on this small stage we have our two sides, and something might be done by throwing all one's weight on the scale of breadth, tolerance, charity, temperance, peace, and kindliness to man and beast. We can't all strike very big blows, and even the little ones count for something. -Arthur Conan Doyle, physician and writer (22 May 1859-1930)

If one simply enlightens one person, on one topic, our time here has not been wasted. Even when I have been wrong and shown the error of my thinking or my post, I gain something I didn't have before, so even in conflict here, we all stand to gain things, whether right or wrong...and I don't see why people can not realize, no one is right all the time, just as no one is wrong all the time. We each have our moments and we should all gain from them, instead of trying to murder the messenger with disrespect or slinging mud at those we disagree with. And, yes, even me..

I haven't heard that proclamation but I love it. I was raised Episcopalian, a very quiet religion that centers on faith, hope, charity, tolerance and compassion. My moments that counted more than raising kids/grand kids, nursing when it was a paid job, being the great wife I am... is the time I spent volunteering with vets and the elderly. For years I've not meant the conservative idea of Christianity but I feel really good about my judgment day.

Hmmmmmmmmm…...A most interesting statement.....Since I am perfect and have never been wrong I would not know how to be wrong...….How does one know when one is wrong????????????

In a lot of cases, all it takes is for one to open their mouth....Not sure if you fall into that category, yet, but with some of your recent post, I am betting you are on the borderline...LOL!!!

There is no shame in having fallen. Nor any shame in being born into a lowly estate. There is only shame in not struggling to rise. And also shame for not wishing to attain the better. Or not dreaming about it and praying for it. -Samuel Amalu

Just as I have tried to convince Katie...everyone in this country has the opportunity to better themselves and their future. It takes hard work, determination, and a need to move up and on in this world. Some people have it, and some don't, and it has nothing to do with your financial standing, it has to do with what you are willing to work for.

Wisdom is the most valuable thing an individual can acquire . It comes through hard work, trial and error and the determination to succeed.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. Douglas Adams
