I initially posted this at some other board.
I've lived in SoCal all my life, but I'm so glad I don't live in Arizona, Texas, or Florida. Beautiful states, I'm sure, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't want to deal with their summers. Last summer, I was watching the news, and it was 80° at 6:20 AM. And then they showed the temperatures for L.A., and the surrounding areas. I live in Chino, San Bernardino County. It showed 112° for a high and Yorba Linda was going to be 117°, if I recall correctly, and I read it correctly. When it gets that hot, I swear I can smell the concrete melting. Thank goodness for central air.
So, during these dog days of summer, I like to watch videos like this next one. It's kind of a mind over matter thing. I like thinking cool thoughts on days like this. And it helps me look forward to the end of the year, and yuletide cheer, my favorite time of year.

Not really a Christmas song, but it does get a lot of 'airplay' around Christmastime. I rather like this particular rendition.
