It seems telling and hearing both sides of a story is a rarity these days........kind of irritating.........even long time ago the whole story was hard to come by........ Which is why Paul Harvey's the rest of the story radio was so popular.......
A few of you old enough to remember the old movies where The guy in the black hat ie Black Bart was tying up a beautiful damsel and putting her on the railroad tracks and along comes some nut in a white hat on a white horse and runs Black Bart off and rescues the damsel and they ride off into the sunset and get married..........The rest of the story.......20 years later the guy in the white hat is tying her up and putting her back on the track where he found her and Black Bart is laughing his butt off pointing his finger saying "See, I told you so"............

There are few people alive that have actually saw those films and our generation was not part of it, it was our parents. What we saw were old films we weren't interested in or docus. |

We are having a labor shortage and government is being blamed. Half truth there. Government paying people is part of the problem. The rest of the story is all the people that ain't here thanks to abortion and birth control. And add all those young people that are just plain physically unfit to do certain kinds of work. The situation ain't gonna git no better either.............The fewer "healthy children raised with good family values" we have the worse it will be...........

What is actually happening in this country. That the democrat party is encouraging strife between black and white cannot be denied. The democrats used to be big KKK member and supporters............and still are I suspect. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm so why are they promoting so much rioting and looting and lawlessness.........??????????
All things are not as they seem to be...........Could the actual intent be to promote a race war where the whites will kill and drive blacks out of this country???????? Are the democrats playing a game of reverse psychology on the American people??????????

Is that another unevidenced belief, informed by opinion? Applying a version of the Principle of Parsimony would yield a different hypothesis. Donald Trump was the most unpopular president of the modern era. As well as divisive and polarizing. He lost bigly in the suburbs, that was a key factor in Biden's victory. Further, real communists, like Vlad Putin, preferred Trump. What mental gymnastics are required to square that? |

It is my opinion, samnouns. I am entitled to it, amI not? Of course. And the purpose of this forum is to discuss and debate opinions, correct? In that vein, I'm interested in discussing your opinion. Further, I'm interested in why your opinions, particularly regarding Trump, have a strained relationship with observable reality which lead to these fantastic conspiracisms. I'm acutely interested in what mechanisms are utilized to not only avoid observable reality, but attempt to construct an alternate reality where a serial liar and grifter like Donald Trump is viewed as a salvific figure. Let me be clear: I understand those mechanisms. Now I just need to understand how they operate in this context. For example, you have the unevidenced belief that there was some nefarious "other," rather than Trump supporters, who are responsible for the events of 1/6. You have an unevidenced belief that communists have infiltrated our government, presumably by being elected, and that's what is really behind the most unpopular president of the modern era losing his reelection bid. I'm happy to discuss it, but discussion requires a shared understanding of reality. Not agreement, but understanding. You're currently operating in an alternative, fictional reality. I'd like to know why that is your preference. |

If that was the case the Communist Party which does exist in this country wouldn't have a membership of 5k and we could all leave and be accepted in communist countries but we don't, instead we buy stuff and lots more stuff than any other western country in the world. 25 y.o. are buying homes with 4 beds, 3 baths and 3 car garage, and call it a "starter home." My parents starter home was 950 sq. ft, 5 people, 2 beds and 1 bath. There is nothing wrong with progression, unless you still want to heat by a fireplace, light candles, go to the toilet outside, drive by horse and buggy and send messages by telegram. |
