This thread is dedicated to strange and different instruments
I think that's pretty obvious
They may be strange and different, but they're still great

The Ondioline, invented in 1941 by Georges Jenny, is an early electronic music synthesizer.

Been listening to this person for a while now
Here's some of her playing on a Kalimba
I think the Kalimba originated in Africa, but I can't be sure
Here's a well known cover by somebody else

The Dan Bau, a Vietnamese traditional folk instrument, is a single string instrument that is played by 'stopping' the string at one of its harmonic node points with one finger while simultaneously plucking the string with another. Bending the vertical rod provides pitch bend and vibrato.

wow....that's nice....
one of the things that most folks may not realize is that Scarborough Fair was not originally written by Paul Simon. It's actually a very old song. He just merely covered it. But he covered it well.
The popularization of Scarborough Fair today is due to Rock & Roll greats Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, who were introduced to it by Martin Cathy, a British singer. ... The song was most certainly not composed by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel as it predates them by hundreds of years.
It is a traditional English ballad.

The glass harp. You will notice in this video that, unlike typical glass harps, there is no water in any of the glasses. The glass harp they are playing was custom made where each glass was individually made and tuned so that no water would be needed for tuning.

When Miss Bonnie said she needed a man who's good with a saw around the ranch, I don't think that's what she meant.
Nonetheless, that's good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I suspect you're right about Miss Bonnie. Just a little PSA, don't make the mistake of trying to cut something with a musical saw. It won't cut very well and you'll have one really angry saw player to deal with. <smile>
The player in the video is quite good. Another thanks to Wale for sharing it.
