In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with Jesus, and Jesus was Jesus. Does that make sense to YOU?
Or maybe- In the beginning was God-the-Word, and God-the-Word was with God the-Father, and the Ghost-God, and all together they were God.
Or the fact that Jesus REPRESENTED God....

John 5:38- nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one He sent. 39- You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you possess eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,
[WAIT! The scriptures "TESTIFY?" why that must mean they are a Person, too, since the holy spirit "testifies"!]
42- but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 44- How CAN you believe since you accept glory from one another but do NOT seek the glory that comes from the only God?
"The ONLY God!" yet Churchianity claims there are THREE! Jesus denied being God IN DETAIL, so that there would be no REAL question about it- but the Jewish clergy continued with their false accusations, and churchoid clergy with their false dogma that insults God and Christ!

John 2:13- When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14- In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15- So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16- To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father's house into a market!" Not "MY House!" And EVERY Jew knew what a father is! He was FURIOUS over how they had defiled his God's TEMPLE! True WORSHIP!

Isn't Jesus the Christ the Son of God? (Matthew 16:16) When he was 12 years old he stated he was in his Father's House.

Isn't Jesus the Christ the Son of God? (Matthew 16:16) When he was 12 years old he stated he was in his Father's House. Just SOME, of MANY verses: John 1:1- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 10:30 I and the father are one
Colossians 2:9 ESV For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,
In Jesus' time, there were titles which would describe the messiah/god. Son of Man, Son of god etc. People take these titles more literally than they take the bible. Because jesus was called the son of man , does that mean he was the son of a man?NO. These titles if you will referred to God and the people of the time knew that. Who could atone for man's sins better than God himself. In the jewish faith in the old testament, to wash away sins, you had to sacrifice an animal at the altar to literally have blood wash these sins away. The scapegoat if you will. Jesus was the scapegoat for man and in his action on the cross, wiped away original sin, not sins man would commit everyday in his imperfection. on whose authority did he do this? HIS own. HE is one with the Father because they are one and the same. The word was GOD and the word was made flesh.

The question was does that make sense to you. It makes sense if you are a Christian but face it only just over 23% of Americans attend church, the majority may believe in God but their faith directs them against many other beliefs, then there is athesists or agnostics and those not part of the Christian faith. The Constitution SAYS we cannot favour a religion which means people in this country can be of any religion/faith or none at all.

The question is about John 1:1 and because SOME people do NOT believe in it has no bearing on whether or not John 1:1 is true.
