Psalm 37:39-40
But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Reflection In simple eloquence, the psalmist describes the beauty and strength of our Almighty God. By His graciousness, God's everlasting righteousness is our refuge during times of grave trial and tribulation. What a wonderful comfort! It is breath-taking to consider His love! He is our unrelenting rock and the deliverer of all things! Let us rejoice forever in the knowledge of Christ's saving hand and His reassuring promise of deliverance!

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
Reflection
Implicit in Peter's direction to the believer to cast away all cares to the feet of God is the truth that God Himself will care for them. God is powerful! He is sovereign, calling all matters into submission to His will! And He cares for us! If such a powerful God cares for us and our needs, can we fail to cast mastery of our cares and worries into His mighty hands?

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

1 John 2:28
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Reflection How sweet and refreshing is the promise of eternal life! It is the beautiful promise of worshipping our Creator and simply being with our Saviour for all eternity. Abiding closely with Him in this life allows us to have full confidence in our salvation when God calls His children home. May our faith in Christ be steadfast and strong that we may know Him well on the day of His return!

Matthew 5:10
Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Reflection May all believers take great heart in this amazing promise of joy and glory! Just as our Lord was persecuted, so we will be persecuted. It is a guarantee! However, we suffer with the knowledge of the beautiful hope of inheriting the kingdom of heaven and residing with our heavenly Father in all His glory. To consider His greatness only causes us to sing of His righteousness!

1 Samuel 2:9
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
Reflection The Lord promises to protect us and keep us according to His will. The all-powerful God is our defense, provider and refuge in this life. Indeed, in our own strength we can do nothing, but through His strength we can do all things (Philippians 4:13)!

Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.
Reflection My Prayer: Thank You so much, Lord, for loving me with an everlasting love. Teach me to love others the way You love me.

Romans 8:30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Reflection The Lord will glorify those whom He has already justified. The use of "glorified" here (in Greek, the proleptic aorist, edoxasen) presents the act of our glorification as being something complete and finished. Even though we cannot view it as a completed action from our human vantage point, God views it as already complete.

Hebrews 3:6
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Reflection Through the incredible faithfulness of Christ, we have admission into the glorious kingdom of God! It is by the beautiful sacrifice of Christ that we are made blameless in the sight of the Father. This unbelievable promise causes us to take heart as we hold fast to this great hope until the last day

Philippians 4:9
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Reflection The believer is most satisfied when he is most glorifying God with his life. Through his faith, God's grace works in his life to do good. Daily he is being conformed to the image and quality of the God he serves. Recognize, O Christian, whom God has made you and do well according this truth. And peace will be yours! So says the Word of the Lord!

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Reflection My Prayer: Heavenly Father, I praise Your great name in all of its fullness and grandeur! Thank You for cleansing me of my iniquities and bringing me to Your side. Guide and direct my paths in Your righteousness and cause me to desire Your ways. Continue to fashion me into Your holy image. For You alone are worthy to be praised in all Your goodness and mercy.

Because we are all human and make mistakes...yet we all are striving to better ourselves and our issues. God made us the way we are and he of all people know we are imperfect. That is why we keep studying and learning to be more like Him. Even though we all know that is impossible.
How does everyone else ignore the same things???

Ephesians 2:22
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Reflection Through the workings of Christ, we are being built for the habitation of God's Spirit. What an honour to be so used by the glorious King of all creation!

Psalm 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Reflection My prayer: Father, I stand in complete amazement of Your unrelenting love for Your children. Thank You for the blood of Your Son and the eternal grace that You pour out upon us. It seems so unbelievable that You choose to remove and forget our many transgressions against you. Yet You do just that! Make us worthy of Your remarkable mercy and grace.

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Reflection How incredible to know the Lord so delights in His children! How wonderful to know that we, the people of His hand, are a pleasure to Him! Rejoice in the Lord's rejoicing in you! Delight in the Lord's delighting in you! Exalt your God all you people and know that He is well-pleased to have you as His own!
