Psalm 37:39-40
But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Reflection In simple eloquence, the psalmist describes the beauty and strength of our Almighty God. By His graciousness, God's everlasting righteousness is our refuge during times of grave trial and tribulation. What a wonderful comfort! It is breath-taking to consider His love! He is our unrelenting rock and the deliverer of all things! Let us rejoice forever in the knowledge of Christ's saving hand and His reassuring promise of deliverance!

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Reflection
As opposed to a spirit of fear, we are given a spirit of adoption that we may be called sons of God (Romans 8:5)! The very Spirit of God has bestowed all power, love and grace upon us. By this, we have become heirs of the Most High for we are a new creation in His character. We have been delivered and glorified by Christ through the power and love of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 3:4
When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Reflection
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God and our Bridegroom shall return! Our true life is hidden in Him and when He appears in clouds of glory, then shall our own true lives be made apparent in Him. His life of obedience is ours (cf. Romans 5:19 and Hebrews 5:8). His death and suffering is ours. So too is His resurrection to new life. And even so, His revelation in robes of splendour at the final day shall be shared with every one of His saints. So put to death the earthly things until His coming and you shall be crowned in His glory.

Psalm 23:3-4
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Reflection
The Lord leads us in the paths of righteousness and sometimes those paths lead through the valley of the shadow of death. Though it is hard to walk through these valleys, we can praise Him because He leads us into the valley of the shadow of death and not the valley of death itself. Take heart that even in these tremulous times, the Lord's hand is mighty. And truly, we need fear no evil!

Ephesians 2:14
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];
Reflection
The unity in Christ is far beyond that which men might craft. It is promised that all Abraham's seed, both Jew and Gentiles alike, are truly of one body-a body of faith! Love your brothers in Christ. Leap to aid each other even as Christ Himself leapt to save you-at His own peril. This is the Gospel.

Isaiah 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, [and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD [is] his treasure.
Reflection
What a faithful God we serve! By His tender love for us, our incredible salvation is our strength and firm stability. His wealth of infinite wisdom and perfect knowledge affords us the privilege of trusting in God throughout our lives. Surely we worship an awesome and great Lord!

Psalm 73:23-24
Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast holden [me] by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.
Reflection
My Prayer: Gracious Father, thank You for continually being present within my life! Thank You for loving me with such unconditional adoration! Make me worthy of Your wonderful devotion toward me that I may give You honour and praise. Cause me to have a passionate desire toward Your word that I may please You in all I do and say. May I desire nothing on this desolate earth but the future glory with You!

Psalm 91:4-6
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.
Reflection
Take refuge in the Lord, O believer! Take courage in His mighty strength! Take comfort in His sure defense! Rejoice in the power of His hand to accomplish good for His people! He is strong and He is loving—so trust in Him and proclaim His truth boldly among the nations!

Isaiah 43:11
I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.
Reflection
The Almighty God alone is our salvation and deliverer from all things! The earth trembles at His presence and the mountains smoke at His touch. He is slow to anger and great in power; for death has been destroyed for eternity! None can compare—and He alone is my Saviour!

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Reflection
Ever will the Lord raise up His people from their troubles! Ever will He seek to heal their hurts! Ever will He redeem His people from wickedness! And ever will the Lord Almighty strengthen the resolve of His children that they might proclaim His mercies forever! Praise His name forever all you His people! Hallelujah!

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Reflection
We are given unto a sacred task. We, the chosen and whole congregation of the saints, are built into a habitation for the Spirit of God that we should be enabled for the purpose set before us. We are called and chosen by God to go unto the world and add to the kingdom triumphant. So go and bring forth fruit O people of the resurrection.

Today's promise from the Bible is that God will give you rest, forgiveness, mercy, protection, and salvation if you trust in Him1234. You can find these promises in the verses of Matthew 11:28-29, Psalm 86:5, Psalm 5:11, and Exodus 14:13-14. God is good, ready to forgive, plenteous in mercy, and able to defend you from your enemies. He will work for you and fight for you, and you only need to come to Him and be silent.

I will carry you in My arms just like a father carries his child.
Deuteronomy 1:31 (WEB)
and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that Yahweh your God bore you,
as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.”
The NIV Bible says this verse this way... "There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place." (NIV) This is one of those very clear pictures in the Old Testament of God's Fatherheart for the nation of Israel. I find it interesting that from God's perspective, He saw Himself as actually carrying each Israelite just like an earthly father would carry his son.
I wonder what that would have looked like in the eyes of God? Would God have been cradling Israel in His big strong arms? Would He have been lifting Israel up over His head so that the nation could sit on top of His shoulders? Perhaps there would be many ways for God to carry Israel, depending on their situation.
When they were grieving... When they were taking new territory... When they were afraid... God was always there to hold them and carry them through each season, whether they were even aware that He was holding them or not.
The truth is that no matter how difficult life gets, it is God who is carrying us through every adversity. We might not be aware of how close He is to us, but that does not change the reality that He is holding us very close all the days of our lives. May each one of us feel the warmth of His embrace today.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Reflection
All God's children will be ever known as the conquerors of death. By the life and resurrection of Christ, they are made alive evermore. The new vitality granted by God cannot be vanquished and those who have taken its hold shall overcome forever! Therefore, they shall all inherit their right to life everlasting and to the very symbol of that life, first seen in the garden of paradise—the very tree of life! So to he who hears, listen well: pick up your cross and follow the Blood by the power of the Blood.
