I started playing piano and guitar when I was fifteen. But I don't play piano at all anymore. But I still play guitar. I still have this upright piano in my house, but I don't really seem to go near it much. I feel that should change.
I'm going to try and dedicate this thread to really good piano music, and I hope you'll join me in doing the same.
There are vocals on this next one, which sound so angelic:

Thank you for all that
I love Rag Time
But, I'm going to have to get back to my usual
Sad songs that say so much
And this is also interesting, if you want to dedicate Happy Birthday to someone

Something a little divergent. Well there is a piano in it, a player piano that is part of a device known as The American Fotoplayer. It is a combination of a player piano, a small scale pipe organ, and a small collection of percussion instruments and other noisemakers, all of which can be manually played from the player piano's keyboard and buttons and pull cords. Principally the piano and organ were played using specially constructed paper rolls, similar to player piano rolls, with the operator manually playing the percussion and noisemakers in accompaniment. The American Fotoplayer was intended for, and used in, silent movie theaters that were smaller and could not afford the small orchestra that were typically used to accompany the silent films. They enjoyed a fairly brief period of success until the "Mighty Wurlitzer" became the instrument of choice for the movie theaters of the day.

Some piano humor from Victor Borge's appearance on the "Dean Martin Show."
