Just a diversion. He knowns he can't defend his Church view of "Jesus" being a God sent himself, who pretended to die, and who gave Himself all power and authority!

Just a diversion. He knowns he can't defend his Church view of "Jesus" being a God sent himself, who pretended to die, and who gave Himself all power and authority! Not a diversion as Russell changed wording in the Bible. Jesus had a Divine and simultaneous Human nature.
